R&P Whitetails is a place where hunting dreams are made possible! During my three-day stay I killed a buck that gross scored at 177 inches! This quality of deer was a childhood dream, which was made possible through this outfitter! Regardless of the mentioned lifetime accomplishment R&P Whitetails is an excellent place to invest hunting time. I have been to multiple outfitters where chances for success are limited due to the lack of interest, knowledge, and availability of the hunting guides and game. Ray is a hunter at heart who places just as much enthusiasm into the hunt as the paying customer. He possesses the knowledge of the property and the game to increase chances of hunting success. The deer on his property are amazing, and possess the quality of deer seen in Canada, Missouri, Kentucky, Kansas, and any other competitive hunting State. I have frequented many outfitters in multiple States where I have been penalized for small deviations of the required inch requirement for the bagged deer (5 inches under the 135 inch requirement and the cost was 500.00). At R&P Whitetails this is not possible due to the work Ray places into trail camera photos, discussion prior to the hunt, and the expertise provided during the hunt. In addition to these mentioned features Ray does not take the entirety of your money until the deer is killed. This puts the matter into the hands of competition and initiative while resting most of the responsibility on the shoulders of the outfitters. Such efforts were shown in his constant desire to change the game plan if the current course of action was not living up to the desired results. This was a nice change from the previous outfitters I have experienced, where they take your money, put you in a deer stand, and provide no information to study regarding the deer movement and or bucks in the area. This of course is all while they use plausible reasons to justify their lack of interest, such as time frame, weather, or any other form of excuse. A potential hunter at R&P Whitetails will not experience such mentioned styles of hunting, and will receive the best possible chance at killing a deer of a lifetime. In addition to the great hunting, Ray and his wife provide the best-cooked meals I have had at an outfitter (Steak, hamburgers, Asian ethnic cuisine, etc.) They cater to the cuisine of the hunter, and are constantly reassuring, they have the type of food that is appealing to the hunter. If not they will immediately get in their vehicle, go to the store, and return with the appealing food! The lodge is an excellent place to sleep and lounge after hunting. No unreasonable requests were denied by Ray, and I will definitely be back in years to come!
